Pretty obvious cap, pretty much every single mmorpg does that. MMORPGs have items with stats, and the best equipment will be the highest you can get,Īnd that would be the cap. Mechwarrior does it with tonnage, if I recall correctly. (with the addition, that you need to level up skills to be able to use the items with build in buffs)Īvorion limits the amount of guns with an item you have to equip. additionaly, it is limited by slots.ĮVE does it with having limited slots on ships, and the Tiers are called Tech The bottom line is, there is a hard cap on how much in TOTAL you can fit.Ī very popular game named Warframe has exact the same system in place, It does not matter jack, if you can put multiple or just one CPU. If they stay the way they are we areĪll going to have some darn UGLY ships. I am in no way suggesting these as a "final" number.ĮDIT: I also think, given the advent of armour gens, the weight of hull blocks The numbers i used are totally RANDOM, picked merely to Without upsetting any "balance" the dev's think they have achived. Or 1 medium.* Giving us the option to have multiple CPU's on medium to large hulls You would be able to use either 2 small CPU on a hull of over 20k mass Say a small CPU required 2 points, medium say 4 and a large say 8. For example, say you got 1 point per 10k of mass. You get a CPU usage allotment that allows you to have a certain amount of CPU What i mean is, for a certain overall mass Perhaps a limit to the quantity of CPU's based Problem is, as i understand it, they were implemented toĬounter the so-called doomships. Having the ability to have "multiple" CPU's and so are my stress and blood pressure levels. Coupled with the fire on cursor, ammo wastage is minimized. I'm also happy that the random sticky trigger is gone.

I'm noticing double what used to show up.

Now that they have fire on cursor, fighting is easier, but the problem is, I think they boosted the number of skrill. I don't PVP, but the skrill can pack a punch. That, or they need to up the CPU by at least 50% each size. I think you should be allowed 2 CPUs - 1 for offense systems and 1 for defense. They want you to choose between offense and defense. But, I read somewhere that they are only allowing one CPU to end the immortal route. This worked a treat until the last hotfix. One for defense, controlling shields/armour/EMPĪnother for missile weapons and a third for lazers and cannons. This worked really well but required 3 CPU units. I was using them to create multiple weapons groups,
